Islamic Azad University was established in 1982 and has 41 campuses across different cities in Iran.
As of September 1, 2014, the university had a total of 12,000 assistant professors. By the end of June 2019:
Approximately 6,000,000 individuals had graduated from this university.
Around 1,100,000 students were enrolled.
Nearly 25,000 full-time faculty members and approximately 45,000 visiting professors were working at the university.
Islamic Azad University ranks sixth in the world in terms of student enrollment.
