Shahid Beheshti University, formerly known as the National University of Iran, is one of Iran’s government universities, established in 1959. It covers an area of approximately 70 hectares in Tehran.
Currently, Shahid Beheshti University has 19 faculties, 10 research institutes, and 9 research centers, with around 900 faculty members and more than 19,150 students. Students at the university pursue bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in 375 fields of study.
According to the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) ranking system, Shahid Beheshti University ranked fifth at the national level and achieved rankings of 701 and 801-1000 internationally in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
