The University of Tehran was established in 1934. It has 2,041 faculty members, 976 academic departments, and 53,488 students enrolled. According to the 2021 Shanghai Ranking, the University of Tehran ranked within the range of 301-400 among the world’s top 400 universities and held the first position at the national level.
